About HeavenEarth Spaces, Inc.
Our organization was started out of a recognition of a significant challenge facing growing nonprofit organizations and hardworking families alike: the lack of attainable or affordable space. We saw the potential of a mission like ours with the first property we acquired in 2021--an historic church building that was in terrible disrepair. With the help of donors, grants, and lots of sweat from volunteers, we've been able to slowly restore this building and offer it back to the community for affordable use. We hope to multiply this model for other organizations and families.
Our Programs
We're trying to multiply opportunities for attainable space primarily through three avenues: commercial properties for nonprofits, residential properties for families, and the new Johnson County Housing Coalition we're championing.
Commercial Affordable Space
We own an 8000 square foot building that was formerly an historic church building. We are slowly converting this space into a community center. The space is currently being utilized by a nonprofit organization in the lower level and a church in the upper level. We are trying to raise funds to purchase another property to offer the space to nonprofits at an attainable rate.
Residential Space
We currently own one 1000 square foot house that we intentionally rent at an attainable rate. Especially with the creation of our housing coalition, we're exploring avenues to multiply this model of offering homes for rent at attainable rates.
The Housing Coalition
The Johnson County Housing Coalition exists to support attainable housing in Johnson County through education, policy change, and increased diversity of inventory.
Partnerships
We are committed to building partnerships with local organizations to create a better community for all. Contact us today to learn more about how we can work together to support our mission.
Our Vision
Too many organizations and families are working hard to contribute to the community and to loved ones, and yet they can't flourish because the cost of space or housing is prohibitive. We envision a community where all families and nonprofit organizations can afford space to operate and live.
